| Green Tārā (Sanskrit: Bodhisattva Tārā), revered as the Holy Savior Tārā, Noble Lady, Majestic One, and Melodious Voice Goddess among 108 honorific epithets, manifests in Chinese mythology as the compassionate emanation of Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva in Tibetan Buddhism. Originating from a tear of compassion shed by Avalokiteśvara, she stands as a paramount deity in Vajrayana tradition, venerated as the “Mother of All Buddhas” (Sarvabuddhamātā) and “Progenitor of Buddha Activities” (Buddhakarmamātā). Iconographically, Green Tārā appears as a sixteen-year-old maiden, her luminous form radiating jade-like emerald purity.
